MSSE+MSEM

Example: Planning a MS in Engineering Management + MS in Systems Engineering

The MSEM has seven required courses and the MSSE has five core courses with additional requirements depending on option selected. Pursuing the two degrees separately, ignoring double-counting opportunities, requires 20 total courses (60 semester credit hours).

By using three MSSE core courses as the MSEM electives, and applying EMIS 7370 within one of the MSSE option tracks, only 16 courses (48 semester credit hours) are required to receive both degrees. Either degree can be completed first. This example follows the Systems Engineering Applications Track option.
