An objective of the MS in Information Engineering and Mmanagement program is to utilize differing undergraduate backgrounds and work experiences to produce specialists for different disciplines. For
example, the degree should appeal to:
- A software engineer, whose organization must reduce its product development cycle time and is considering a globally-structured, 24-hour/day workforce
- A production engineer whose manufacturing firm is increasing its automaton or needs to coordinate its domestic and off-shore facilities
- An entrepreneur who needs to know how to start a new venture involving IT
- An undergraduate civil engineer who is likely to be more valuable to a civil engineering firm with a master’s degree in Information Engineering and Management
- An aerospace industry worker who is involved in supply-chain management, or GIS, or has increasing managerial duties
- A military officer whose current or prospective assignment involves IT deployment or engineering an organizational information strategy
